Milton, New Hampshire Police said a 32-year-old man was accidentally shot in the head in New Hampshire after firing a bullet while his 8-year-old nephew was shooting a chipmunk.

The man was injured in Milton on Friday and is expected to recover, Fosters Daily Democrat reports.

According to police, an eight-year-old boy shot a bullet and hit his head after killing a chipmunk.

Richard Krauss, police chief of Milton, called it “a really just anomalous accident.”

“Even at the age of eight, teaching children how to shoot and hunt is not against the law for anyone,” Klaus helps. “There are kids learning how to hunt and shoot much younger,” he said.
