Albuquerque, New Mexico According to police, four people were killed and one was in danger after riding a hot-air balloon and hitting a power line in New Mexico’s largest city.

According to police spokesman Gilbert Galegos, the clash occurred west of Albuquerque around 7 am. He said the balloon pilot was among the dead.

The ID has not been released.

According to Galegos, colorful balloons covered the top of the power lines, knocking out at least one hanging power line and sending it to 13,000 households. He said the gondola crashed into the street, the balloon envelope lifted, and finally landed on the roof of the house.
