Mother takes stand, denies disposing evidence against son

Patricia Elizabeth Samson, on trial within the High Court at Invercargill, charged with trying to defeat the course of justice.

Patricia Elizabeth Samson, 53, has pleaded not responsible to wilfully trying to defeat the course of justice by discarding attainable evidence against her son, Samuel Samson.

On the fourth day of the High Court trial earlier than Justice Gerald Nation and a jury, Patricia was referred to as as a defence witness and was cross-examined for greater than 90 minutes.

Samuel Moses Samson was discovered responsible of homicide after a three-week trial in High Court at Invercargill.

Patricia advised the courtroom she was on the motel at 3am to choose up Samuel and Wilson’s toddler daughter, after a name from her son, which was commonplace.
