
Shoppers stunned after finding crack pipes for sale behind a counter in a Post Office
CRACK pipes have been discovered on sale behind a counter – in a Post Office.
The glass gadgets had been noticed behind a counter in a central London department.
Packaging makes clear the pipes are ‘for tobacco use solely’.
But the form and design are sometimes related to utilizing unlawful substances.
The pipes had been offered alongside vapes in Farringdon.
Stunned shopper Frank Bolt stated: “I solely popped in to the Post Office for some stamps and was confronted by a crack pipe. I couldn’t imagine my eyes.
“When I requested workers what they had been doing they shrugged and seemed a little sheepish.
“Drug addicts should be delighted at having the pipes readily available subsequent to the passport purposes.
“I know the Post Office brags about serving its local community but this is ridiculous.”
A Post Office spokesperson stated: “A Postmaster usually has a retail space in addition to their Post Office and so they determine what to promote.
“It is just not unlawful to promote, purchase or to own unused glass pipes.
“They could be bought in outlets and on-line together with Amazon. The packaging clearly states that it’s for tobacco use solely.”
But later, a Post Office spokesperson added: “The Postmaster has also agreed to remove the stock of glass pipes.”
